In the summer semester 2025, the ISE department, in cooperation with ING, is offering a practice-oriented seminar that combines AI theory and AI application. Interdisciplinary teams of Bachelor's and Master's students will work on current challenges in digital banking – from ESG sentiment analysis and interactive explanation tools to voice-based banking apps.

  • Final presentations: July 15, 2025 from 16:00 at ING in Frankfurt am Main

Course Content

  • Linking science and practice: developing data-driven solutions together with ING experts
  • Working on real-life challenges from the banking sector: focus on innovations in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), explainability, sustainability and user experience
  • Collecting, analysing and processing data, e.g. from social networks, for sentiment analysis or categorization
  • Designing and developing interactive prototypes such as dashboards, visual tools or app functionalities
  • Reflecting on social and ethical implications, e.g. through ESG reference, explainable AI, data protection and user understanding
